- What Do I Do to Keep Zones From Dropping? (A.1x, A.4x, A.6x)
This is almost always a network issue. The key is to understand your network to avoid going in circles.
- First, we always recommend using name brand, well known, commonly used networking equipment. If you are using a no-name brand. or something known for being problematic, the chances are this is what is causing your problems. Your networking gear needs the ability to enable and allow UPnP, Multicast, and Bonjour.
- Make sure you have UPnP, Multicast, and Bonjour enabled.
- Make sure your VSSL unit or VSSL units are all plugged into the same network switch.
- If you are using multiple access points on a project, you will need to make sure you are using the access point controller most appropriate to control your access points.
- Check and test your network cables to assure a secure and reliable connection.
- If you are connecting to the network via WiFi (A.1x Only), assure that the unit is within range of your WiFi router or access point.
- If after all of this, you continue to have zones dropping, please contact our tech support.
- I Am Unable to Control the Volume Properly on the A.1x
- Check to see if your are using the pre-amp outputs. If you are, you need to verify that the "fixed output" setting is tuned off. *Open the VSSL app -> Settings tab -> Select A.1x -> Fixed Volume-Inputs/Outputs -> Fixed Volume-Line Level Output -> Toggle to "Variable"
- I Am Having Difficulty Setting Up Zones on the A.1x, A.3x, and A.6x
- Verify the zone light(s) status on the front of the VSSL device. If it's flashing white, it is ready for set up.
- Check to make sure the device you are using to set up the VSSL device(s) is on the same Local Area Network (LAN)
- Check to see if you can see the zones in the Google Home app. If the zones cannot be seen in the VSSL app or Google Home, you will need to adjust the network settings to ensure UPnP, Multicast, and Bonjour are enabled.
- If you continue to have issues, please contact Tech Support
- Audio Is Coming Out With A Strange Digital Tone, What Is Wrong?

- Google Home Voice Commands Are Not Registering (A.1x, A.3x, A.6x)
Generally, Google Voice is extremely picky with the way that the commands are said. If you say, "Increase" or "Decrease", the volume will only go up and down by 10%. Google also only uses savles of 1-10 or 10% to 100%. Sometimes, you need to specify where to stream music from and where to play the music. Example: "Hey Google, play Boyfriend by Justin Bieber from Spotify, on Kitchen speaker."
