Google Home Set Up (X Series)

VSSL's X Series amplifiers are Google-Certified with Chromecast built-in! 

When paired with a Google Nest or Home devices with Google Assistant, you can initiate and control audio to any zone using only your voice! 

Set Up With Google Home App

You can either follow the prompts given in the VSSL app or you can go directly into Google Home. Once the device has been added to Google Home, it will show the device in the VSSL app. 

Your device will not show up in Google Home if all of the required permissions are not allowed. This would include Location, Bluetooth, and Local Network permissions. 

Set Up

1. If you have not already, create a Home, then navigate to the devices page in Google Home. 
2. Tap the "+ Add" button, select "Google Nest or Partner Device". It will start searching for available devices ready to be set up.

      3. Once those devices have been discovered, select a zone and follow the prompts. If you have a                    multizone unit, you will need to repeat this process for all zones. 

                                                         

    4. Near the end of the set up, it will ask if you want to link the device to your account.                                     On Android, it will give you an option to not link the device but iOS does not give you this                         option. If you are an installer setting up for your customer, it is advised to use their device for                     set up, when using an iOS device. 

   5. Make sure you can see the devices or zone(s) in the devices page of the Google Home app. You                 should also be able to see the devices in the VSSL app at this point.
