Default on Volume Set After Each Streaming Song

I love my A.6x and A.1x.  They work well with Alexa.  Grouping VSSL zones in Alexa is effortless and works great.  My only complaint is that the VSSL volume reverts back to whatever each zone's “Default on Volume” is set to after EVERY streamed song.  Is this a bug?  Can this be fixed or am I missing something?  I just want a reasonable default volume set ONLY when the zone is first turned on.

  I've confirmed this to be an issue asking Alexa devices to play songs by an artist or genre on both a free Pandora account and an Amazon Unlimited account.  It's really annoying as I have to ask Alexa to turn up or down the volume after every song depending on the ambient noise level in the room.
